The Hallet and Davis Piano Company is one of the finest and most prestigous names in the piano industry. Established in the year 1843 even before the great Steinway and Sons, this company from Boston, MA was building fine pianos. The Hallet and Davis Company was known as a home piano for the pure rich tone for which these pianos were famous. Sold by the John Wanamaker piano department in Center City Philadelphia -- the sole agents of the Hallet and Davis Pianos. This piano was delivered to a South Philadelphia family new in 1971. It was always taken care of by a tuner and faithfully serviced by the John Wanamaker service department until the passing of the original owner. Upon our purchase, we restored the interior pf the piano with new felts, springs and refinished the cabinet. This is a quality piano at a modest investment and will outlast and outperform many of the co-called 'quality' pianos on the mass market today. |
